Two Thumbs Down
Last night, Mrs Dot Co Dot Il and I watched the Simpsons movie. I can't tell you how disappointing it was. Stale, one-dimensional, flat, uninspiring and dull are just some of the things which come to mind.
Too much of the movie was focused around the idiocy of Homer who when he gets like that, is a terribly unsympathetic character. I don't understand how this movie can do so well from at the box office.
For mind, the environment is a ridiculous notion to base the movie around notwithstanding the fact that it has been done several times before by the show and as early as the second season.
Your thoughts? Anyone actually like it?

I liked it. It was one long episode, and that's what I expected and it's all I wanted. I don't think there is much they could have done if they wanted to change the premise of the 'episode' and still have their fans love it. Most diehard fans I've asked loved it...
i stopped watching all the new simpsons episodes...they just stopped being funny to me. it just kept getting more and more slap-stick and not making anymore sense. at least at the beginning you could understand the plotline...
I loved it. Yes, I stand out from the masses, but I think it was great. Sure 'it was just a long episode', but what else did we expect?
I thought it was stupid. I'm generally a Simpson's fan, but I didn't care for the movie. Oh well.
L'Shalom...
I haven't seen it yet; my son & new daughter-in-law are visiting from Israel (via another state); maybe we'll rent it.
Btw - would you visit my blog, and let me know if you would like to link it on your blogroll(you can browse around to different posts to see the general tenor of the blog)? It will be reciprocal if you do, of course.
